Any thoughts on the recent "Straight Talk" posting? It seems like Mr. B is setting the stage for more furloughs in the fall. Anybody that listened to the call have any idea what they would solve by moving training, etc. as far as staffing levels in the fall?

I'm not sure how moving training would resolve any staffing issues, but I see more furloughes in the near future. I hope I'm wrong.

That stage was set several months ago, but he is certainly keeping it warm.

I guess it's better than saying we need to hire 300 pilots and then furloughing two months later.

Come on now don't be silly, what kind of absurd circus of an airline would ever pull a stunt like that.......................

It only makes sense to have training in JFK being the most of the pilots will be based there.

Just listened to the message on epic. There has got to be more furloughs coming. You can tell from the last message that he was just setting us up for this message. Then in this message he is just throwing it out there that way it is no surprise when it happens in the fall.

Need more pilots in the summer than in the fall, so shift training events to the fall as much as possible? Have more pilots available in summer? (Note- this assumes the goal is to solve staffing issues in the summer, not the fall...presumably, the staffing issues in the fall resolve around having more pilots than you need...)
