Pff... No! December I had L1 without the 'bid to fly' and I flew around 15 hrs. This month I did L1 with 'bid to fly' and I've flown about 5 hrs. so far this month. I haven't decided what to bid next month?? You can definitely notice the cutbacks in hours. Not to burst anyones bubble, but if you are CVG based plan on being on reserve for a looooong time.

76 is the guarantee..but you're paid by the duty rig...any EF you pick up has to be another CD when you're a CD line holder...nothing else

congrats!

CD line holders can only pick up CD trips. Also you better hope and pray that they never cancel one or you immediately drop down to guarantee. Its a loop hole in the contract that cost me about 10 hours of pay the month I did CD's.

Also make sure you let hotels know if you want a hotel in base during the 2 or 3 days your doing a set of CD's. Then when you check in see if the hotel will just let you keep the room for all 3 days. Then when you go into ops to check in everynight (and your going to be gone for the night) you can offer your room to someone who may have to sleep in ops for the night. At least they may be able to take a shower then!!

Thanks for teaching me how it works....... I know about the min guarentee, hotels etc etc etc etc etc..... ps my cd line is worth like 76.5 so im not worried about dropping down to GASP 76 hours... I am just glad i dont have to sit on an A2 window at a rest stop in NJ all month

Yep, I am getting the PIC time. Up to about 4000 now at last count. Just can't afford to go back to making $30/hr. Looking into the international contract carriers at the present time. I had thought about selling my pic time for $2/hr. Not sure if that's legal though.
