For every D-bag on that list, there are 40 guys you will have a blast flying with, so I wouldn't worry about the culture changing too much. That is, unless commuting will turn the good guys into the Devil!

Yes, 5% of people ruin it for the other 95%. And in my 2 years at Comair, 90% of those 5%'ers happened to be CVG based. Most of them were at the company for more than 10 years and hated life on reserve (or life in general), but would never dream of coming to "such an awful place" like JFK to greatly improve their QOL. Now that they are being *forced* into JFK, I can only imagine how awful those select few will be to fly with.

And I think any JFK FO can name the top 3 5%'ers in JFK in 3 seconds or less.

3 5%'ers in 3 seconds?.....I can probably name 12 in 3 seconds. My hat's off to you guys having to deal with these folks in JFK. I remember how quite a few of them would just blow a fuse for having a JFK turn. Now that they'll be based there, I can't even imagine......Good luck to you all.

I didn't think JFK had 12, up until the displacements start this month. Maybe 5 at most. Maybe I just got lucky?

I still can't figure out these numbers. In two years of being based at JFK, with the exception of weather delays, I could count maybe a handful of times where I was not out on time or arrived on time (or early as is the case most of the time now that they overblock so much). Is this a CVG thing? Are there guys at CVG that call themselves in 15 minutes late (instead of 14 and on time)? Even if we were 20 minutes late, we usually called it 10 late. And as far as leaving on time...every flight leaves 5-10 minutes early

One other thing that never made sense to me is: Why are regionals even on this list? The list should only include the mainline carriers. Their regionals adhere to the mainline's scheduling and have no control over that. Like a 18 minute turn at PHL, if you rush around like a chicken without a head, you can do it....but just wait until there are two flights departing at the same time (like cvg and jfk or atl)! They only have enough gate agents (DELTA!) and ground crews to turn one plane at a time! So, seems that it is Delta's fault, not the regional.

This also brings up the whole issue of why they have a list for airlines and not for specific airports. Everyone knows that if the wind is over 5 knots or a cloud appears over NJ, PHL has delays. SWA has a problem with on time performance there, but it is all airport induced. See when the plane gets to VCN, and then see how long until the plane lands. It's the same at any NY airport. Wait and see the numbers come out for Comair once construction starts on 31L-13R and 70% of Comair is JFK! Guarantee they put Comair on the bottom of the list!

I concur...although I do not call it in until all the pax have deplaned, we are still responsible for them until they are all off

When does the training schedule come out? I am hearing that there is no displacement training scheduled for May. I guess training will start in June? By the time the crews end up in JFK there will probably be another type of bid come out for Delta's plan that week.
