Anyone know the latest on Delta v. Mesa? Why is it taking so long to decide this case? How long do they have to decide it?

That's probably what's going to happen. Either way is a looooong wait for one or the other to happen.

court case was heard on Jan 30th and the judges have up to 90 days to make a decision. They still have about a month to decide if they want it.

Have you guys noticed the increasing number of lineholders getting displaced? In the past week there have been a lot of people getting displaced. I can't really figure out why. I haven't heard of an increase in sick calls, the WX has been good and we have had a number of 100% completion days. Reservists are being sent home and displaced lineholders are being given some pretty bad schedules. The company is now using lineholders as reservists because it is cheaper for them to operate this way. I personally think this is wrong. If you are a lineholder and you get displaced, I would definitely be asking why?

Yes ask, they are not allowed to do it for "scheduling convenience." Dont forget to file a grievance if they cant give you a good reason.

Because scheduling and planning are clueless. Hell our computer systems crash every other day for some reason. It is amazing we don't have more operational issues than we have had.

That's what scheduling thinks, but often it costs more. I just had a four day where I was displaced on day two. Originally day three was worth around 2 hours (1 leg) and day four was worth seven hours (three legs). The trip they put me on was three legs on day three and one leg on day four, so I got about 7 hours each day. It went from a 19 hour 4-day to a 25 hour 4-day.

And a reserve still got "credit" for my original trip.
