Comair updates?
Remember when you were a kid and you would be losing in a Chess game or something like that? You would make up a move that only you were allowed to do and if your friend pitched a fit, you would just grab your toys and go home. That is very similar to the way that this company works. They get to make up the rules as they go along.
So let me get this straight. If I roll in at 8:00am on the 2nd and I am not tagged with anything and I'm am released to go home, I basically go home and sit the rest of my window until 3:00pm. Then if I am called with something, I would be subject to a 9 hour call out? Could the company notify me when coming back into the gate that morning of a change to a SC window for the remainder of that day? Wouldn't they have to do that the night before?

Dude dont bother with that. Those application take forever to fill out. All you need to do is call, fax your resume, email the HR department at any airline. Any form of contact is considered "applying" according to the unemployment office. Even if you leave a message on the machine and they dont return your call. That is still accepted by the unemployment people. It should only take you a half hour. This is what I did and there was no problem.
Hope that helps for any of you.

Did you see how Comair will be operating some Delta Connection flights for Mesaba in April. DS put out a memo to the pilot group that this will be temporary and that it will not be any type of increase in our flying.
Ladies and Gentlemen, why would we be doing this. DS says the only changes will be some minor procedural changes for our crews.
What's next?

I heard something similiar, except that there is suppose to be a major annoucement come April by Mesa, there is suppose to be an increase in flying around that time thus the reason why both pilot and f/a furloughs have been halted ( I didn't know that) to see how this all plays out. I have no idea what this company is doing anymore, not that I did in the first place.
Whats your source?
There is supposed to be an increase in flying in the DCI side?...and are you saying additional pilot/fa furloughs have been halted by Comair?
I haven't heard officialy that the company halted furloughs, has anyone heard that?
Cheers to the "juicy" rumors! Before this spirals out of control , allow me to state some facts to the best of my knowledge....
1) Comair has not officially stopped furloughing--however, no additional furloughs have been announced...yet. My guess is this is a result of the pending "early out" programs that are currently still open. Look for some sort of announcement after this window closes (positive or negative).
2) Mesa is still flying for Delta. Mesa is under contract to fly for Delta until at least 2011. While that could change tomorrow, I don't see Mesa going anywhere, unless a BK filing is in their future (April maybe?).
3) Delta has informed Comair, per J.B., that they are reducing our overall flying by 1.5% in 2009. Remember this came after we were originally told that no flying would be reduced.
All this is subject to Delta changing their mind on things...which we all know never happens....
