I know I gave out a few buddy passes the week after my furlough and they still worked as long as you pay the yield fare. I think they got S4 priority and got bumped once or twice but thats what happens when going through ATL.

Yes, i asked the pass bureau this very question a couple days ago. Your travel benefits don't change for the first 30 days, after that you go down to S3B. Your parents, spouse, children, travel companion all become/stay at S3B and pay a yield fare. Buddy passes remain the same. You lose all interline travel, including travel on Northwest..and obviously jumpseat privileges.

I might be incorrect about spouse and children paying a yield fare. The pass bureau woman said only the employee rides for free and everyone else pays the yield fare, if i remember correctly. I don't have a spouse or kids..so i didn't ask any more questions about that.

I'm number eight, plus I know of one other that hasn't signed up yet. So I guess nine.

They just announced the 55point program last week. This is a big decision for people to make, especially in this economy. I'm not at all surprised that there's only 6 people that have opted for this program so far..there's still another week and a half before the deadline. there are probably several people on the fence and will make their decision next week.

Anyone know what we are paid for vacation? Pay summary says 2:52 per day. Is that right?

It's 20 hours per week, so divide that by 7 days and 2:52 is about right.

20 hours per week. 2:52 for first 6 days, 2:48 for last day.

A little loophole in the contract for you guys.

When reassigning reserve windows they dont take into account anyone on ready reserve. So this is what they are doing in JFK. Because they furloughed everyone on short call all of the guys left are on long call. They are assigning the junior guys ready reserve and then moving all of the senior guys to short call.

Its pretty sad when the staffing is so poor that the most senior guy is being converted to short call every day. Why even assign windows? Maybe next month they will just give us our window for the next day at noon the day prior.

Also down to 3 reserves in JFK left. Keep in mind there has been perfect weather for the past few days.
