I'm sure it will go by seniority if more pilots volunteer than they need.
What I was told is that they will take as many as possible, but they will stagger our release. (which will by seniority) They don't want to short themselves. They would coordinate our release with bringing back furloughees. The B.S. part of that is; how can someone plan another job or life out of this place without knowing a departure date? So if you get another job and have to start before Comair releases you, You Get Nothing! Nice huh! So once again ALPA is F-ing us by taking final dues and the company by not commiting to anything before the bid is over. I can't wait to leave this sh==hole.

Anybody have a guess now to see how many will take this package?

Also, I wonder how many furlough's are even coming back.

I'm willing to venture a guess that there would be about 25-30 that take the buyout, and 3 out of 5 furloughs come back.

I highly doubt anyone is taking the package for the sole benefit of a furloughed pilot

Nevertheless, it does help!

In all honesty I doubt these buy-outs will result in recalls, just prevent more furloughs. Don't forget this is Shrink-air we are talking about.
