Comair updates?

We are today just below 1500 pilots at Comair. Maybe slightly more, depending on new hires in December (check JFK FO bid package for new pilots when it comes out). Your new seniority should be up around 150-160 numbers. Our attrition is around 25 per month. I checked the bid packages for C7C, C7F and CRC and, according to them, we had lost 24 pilots in December .Regarding the loss of flight time in February so is that normal. It will continue to slow down the next couple of months, just to pick up again in the summer.
Also, during our new hire orientation for the family... I wish I could remember this guys name but I cant, he was an HR guy. He told us that the rumors were all the aircraft leaving the delta connection fleet were going to be Comair's and that it wasnt true. He told us that this year we will have about 7 aircraft leaving. The rest will be from other carriers. He also said to expect the same for the next few years. He told us that at first delta cut about 4000 hours from us. But they talked to delta and told them it didnt make sense to cut our flying when we are wholly owned and all the money goes right back to delta. Then Delta gave us a lot more flying and took it away from other carriers. Take it for what its worth but that came straight from the HR guy. Ill find out his name for you guys when I go back on Monday.

This is my 2nd airline. Trust me when I say that things are not that bad here. I have been here at Comair long enough to know its proud history and while Comair today certainly does not resemble the Comair I started with a few years ago, all in all it really isn't that bad of a place to work. If things are that bad, nothing is stopping you from leaving. Not trying to flame, just stating a fact.

Hey guys/gals, in another thread I noticed Delta has postponed a possible sale of Comair to explore merger options. Is it still business as usaul with you all or any of you plan on staying, leaving or what? Could good things be on the horizon for Comair?
Thoughts?

My *guess* is with our presence in JFK and the North East we'd be ok as a company, but CVG would be a goner. If it was Northwest, Memphis and DTW would be too close to CVG. If it was United, ORD is way to large of a hub and just as close to CVG.
