It makes the pilot groups and management look like they have a blatant disregard for safety and that obviously isn't true. Many pilots are safe in the cockpit everyday and will never have to use a program like ASAP.
never say never, thats when it will bite you in the arse.

NASA reports and ASAP is not the same. You can only use NASA once every 5 years. Even if you file a NASA report, if the FAA decides to take a license action and then suspends the action, it will still stay on you record. Pulling out of ASAP is the most damaging action to safety at Comair. The MEC decided to pull ASAP for political reasons with a full disregard to safety and the good of out pilot group. I’m glad the our MEC chair did the right thing and decided to resign.

Wow, we are really overstaffed. JFK is down to 1 Short call reserve and one LC2 on the FO side.
Happy furlough season everyone.

For all your brothers and sisters on furlough, please do not pickup any open time.

Merry Christmas

The "Comair" ground crew is no longer in TYS. It's all DAL guys now... so I'm guessing the accident may have involved a less experienced worker?
