Comair updates?
The Freedom chunk might only be 30, but doesn't Mesa, an airline with one pilot seniority list, have over 200 planes?

But they were great to have around. They were doing EVV, TOL, TRI, etc, all the short haul stuff leaving the MSP, IAH, HOU, OKC, TUL for Comair.
Everyone moaned and complained about how slow they flew and screwed up the arrivals into CVG and that was about the biggest complaint.
Funny how things change.
Who is laughing anymore though??

I don't know why I didn't think of this before, or maybe someone else has already said it... I think Delta is kinda liking the economic downturn... Now anything they said about keeping CVG jobs and CVG as a hub can not true and all they have to say is it was the economy... Even though they've been planning it the whole time.

10:00 in the morning, there are only 4 guys on the list and they are not overnight-able on the 70/90 for FOs. Do we only have 10 or so flights on sundays now? I'm scared to even look.
Last year the sky was falling because the housing bubble meant that poor people couldn't afford to live in Miami or LA- the rich people were driving the prices up. This year the sky is falling because rich people in Miami and LA lost thousands on their new home.
In spring 2007 the USA Today actually ran back-to-back cover stories dripping with contradiction...
First day the cover story said the sky was falling because college students were racking up thousands in loans. The dude they pictured, according to the caption, was facing $120,000 in loans by the time he finished medical school. Of course, he could have gone to cheaper schools but he wanted to be able to command a higher salary after graduation. On page two they listed actual figures and the average for state schools was only $12,000 in loans. So maybe the sky's falling, but not for most students.
The very next day the cover story was about the billions college kids blow on spring break every year and how companies- Axe, Trojan, Coors, etc. were all marketing to these kids to get a chunk of the booty. So what's the deal? Are college students hurting or not? Are the airlines hurting or doing the hurt? Whatever...
[quote=Boomer;513387]Wow... Is there ever a positive day for these media types? Two years ago they said the sky was falling because of the 10% increase in Holiday flights. Now flights are down 10% and the end is near. "They gotta stop bleeding the passengers?" Nice expert interview. How about this guy just drives himself wherever he needs to go; gas is a buck-fidy a gallon.

People in Miami an LA are rich?. or driving the economy down/up/sideways?. Do you get out of Ohio at all?. And yes, it is a fact, the better school you go to, the better job you'll get. Would you like the guy that went to Idaho Medical School (not even sure if this a med school), versus the guy that went to Harvard Medical doing your vasectomy (pun intended) if your insurance can afford it?. FACT: the lower and working middle class are the ones losing their homes because of the inflated, interest only, deferred prime mortgages they got, and can't now afford the mortgage payment once it went to normal terms. Couldn't flip it fast enough, or just plain overreached.
