Comair updates?

I don't think it has officially been announced (the total numbers of everything), but it appears that Comair has been awarded the ground handling services for numerous United Exress locations around the system. United had a RFP for ground services, and Skywest is losing about 16 stations (through the RFP, and lack of support for others). Although it is sad to see others in our industry lose their jobs or be forced to relocate, this is great news for the Customer Services department in the great ground handling that we provide around the country. I certainly prefer Comair ground handling of our flights over DGS, Delta, etc.
Does anyone know the total count of airlines that we provide ground servicing for? I know it includes Commutair, Continental Express, Northwest Airline, Delta, all DCI, Frontier, and now United Express. Is there any that I am missing?

I for one am forthright and honest whenever I speak to scheduling. It is unfortunate that the same can't be said of them. Even though we work for the same company it is difficult, at times, to work together. I feel I should be able to call and have a advocate who cares about my legality rather than an adversary who questions my motives.
I know I live in an idealistic world, but at least I know i'm right.

Cyrcadian, I agree with you, to a point. We've done it to ourselves. Crewmembers bid for a day off. When they don't get it, they call in sick. I've even heard it called "a schedule adjustment day."
Just today I witnessed a crewmember call scheduling and demand to be moved up to an earlier deadhead, so they could get home sooner. The flight was already oversold with revenue passengers, but this person demanded to bump a passenger so they could go home. This change put them on reduced rest for the night. After they got off the phone with scheduling, they said if they get tagged when they get back to CVG and not get to go home, they'll just call in fatigued.
It's stupid **** like this that give us crew members a bad name. It's why scheduling is quick to get defensive and not listen to us. Yes, I understand that a majority of us just do our jobs and not complain. But its the select few out there that ruin it for the rest of us.
Okay, rant over. Fire away

I agree!! Some pilots here use any excuse they can to get mad at Comair. While some of it may or may not be caused by management, some of the stuff that I see line pilots and FA's do and say to schedulers is inexcusable.
If your QOL is that bad and you hate your job that much, there is nothing in our contract that says you have to stay. Move on! You don't have to make life on a 4 day trip miserable for me, as well.
