ASA - Bryan and Charley
Come on guys, get off your butts and do the right thing. The ASA pilots don't trust you! Sign the scope.
Poney up and pay the boys (and girls) what they are asking for. The pilots go above and beyond everyday. You don't see that, do you?
PBS - you have taught the ASA pilots that if you want something bad enough, you must WAIT FOR IT! I think you should try for it next contract.
Learn from Grinstein and Anderson - they LISTEN to the people on the front line. This is a people SERVING people business. You don't see that, do you.
I'm done purging now. Sign it.

I hope ASA pilots get a good, fair, above industry average (if not industry leading) contract, and I hope you get it soon. From what I read on Flightinfo, it might be the only way to keep your airline adequately staffed.

Im fairly new as a I just started reserve a few weeks ago. At first it wasn't something that I would get worked up about but now as I see some of the really good guys out there get screwed it starts to bother me how management keeps beating around the bush and handing ALPA proposals that completely fall short of anything that would be considered acceptable by industry standards. Fortunatley us new guys have a lot more flexability since nothing was really taken away from us. We knew what we were getting into when we got here. However, it's up to us to not let them go any further. At some point when we have earned our dues, we too will have to put our foot down.

I, too appreciate your attitude, and I'll take it one step further. Whether or not you think you have earned your dues, you newhires can start putting your foot down now so that we present a unified group in dealing with (lack of) management. No need to wait until you're personally affected. Just look at all those who have gone before you who are.

I am in my 4th day here at ASA, and the pilot group has been awesome to us and explaining any questions we have, the recruiting and training dept. has been up front w us, and they agree morale is at an all time low here, for the guys and gals that have been driving these jets and for years and not gotten what they want is truly a shame, I too knew what i was getting myself into when coming, here, it is a money making airline, with a great bunch of people, i know that things will be on the up and up if they can FINALLY get it signed, i cannot believe how close they are but cant get an agreement. These next few months should be interesting as I go through training with this on the topic on converssations all around ATL...we will see.
