The Captain's hat is from the school I got to. He was from Jersey.
They seem like nice morally upright southern folk. Hard to believe they're also the ones ruthlessly sueing a brain-damaged wheel chair bound copilot (in violation of federal tort law) and making up phony claims of "defective aircraft" against Bombardier.
Even though it's been a year, I wonder how many lawyers were handing out business cards at the ceremony.

What does their moral standing or sitting have to do with anything? Aircraft accidents should be reserved for those whom you do not consider morally upright?
