Default ASA New-Hires

Hi all,

I was recently hired at ASA and start class in a couple weeks. I am wondering how soon before class do you get the information about where you'll be staying, dates, times, etc? Thanks.

The gouges are accurate. I really have nothing to add to them. Just the usual...be yourself. The sim is fun and they prepare/brief you well. Everything was very straightforward.

Good luck; let us know how it goes!

good luck in the interview...ouor class of 14 started this week, good group of guys...4 went to the ATR, yes 4, and 10 including myself went to the CRJ 200...., they def hooked us up w hotel as we are at the La Quinta, it is very nice,we all got mini suites w king size bed, microwave, fridge and a living room and computer area....it def helps coming home to a nice room at the end of the day....ALPA has given us free lunches this week as wel and explained what is going on ion contract negotioations....our intructor for indoc is awesome, hes an FO on the 200 and has been extremely helpful.....this is a great place, morale is low as they are frustrated about the contract, but if /when it does, things will get better, pay, work rules, trip rigs, comuter clause etc etc..

mregan,

Thanks for the update. I'll be out to ATL for indoc on the 10th. Got the new-hire packet today; yay for more paperwork! Looks like ASA ALPA will be getting a few more sections of the contract TA'd. Maybe they'll finish the whole thing this week...very wishful thinking, I know!

Have fun in class...see you guys out there soon.

wow, 4 in the ATR? Three of my buddies were just hired there a bit ago...one is on IOE for the 200, one is in the sim for the 200, and the third passed his ATR checkride last week. The second two were in the same class, and I think there were only two that went to the ATR. One of my professors is a recently retired check pilot and instructor for ASA and he is constantly encouraging me to apply the end of the semester when I graduate...I just don't want to end up the youngest in the class and get the ATR...good plane, don't get me wrong, I just want to go more than three places in my potential ASA career

mregan, what were your times? Seems lately they've been hiring down close to 500/50
