I'm not sure what to think anymore.
I interviewed and got the thanks but no thanks email.
A friend of mine called HR and they told him they wanted to hire me. I wonder if there is something in my background or work history. I don't know who to ask about this. Maybe an aviation lawyer?

Is English your primary language.. damn. Perhaps you were in a hurry when you typed this, but if these posts are any indication of how you filled out your application; then I see why they rejected you.

Tadd-
Below is a link to the public section of the Republic pilot forum. That is probably your best source of hiring information, as input will be coming from current company pilots.

The best advice I have is don't get too worked up or frustrated during the sim evaluation. It is pretty unstable and the instructor's standards are set accordingly. Ultimately, just be yourself and remember that they want to hire you. If you haven't seen the study guide or gouges, make it known here and someone will direct you to them.

You must of drank a few glasses of Kool Aid at the interview...always give an airline a year and then see what you think. Go and ask Saab and he will tell you, that guy loved Colgan during training.

As far as the 40 hours of multi, I believe they are holding fast to the 100 hour mark. Its easier to waive some total time. You know the thought process on how to deal with an engine failure in a multi is different than a single. You only get one option with the TBM. They are looking for the experience going through the process of planning the what if's that happen when you still have the option to go. Get an MEI, you'll hit 100 hours real quick and be better off because of it.

Can you afford to pay for some time building? I am in debt up to my ears but found that paying for the remainder of hours to get me at leats to the 100 point was well worth the investment. I went to Ari Ben in Vero beach fl.
PM if you have any questions.
600$ should be enough to get you through the last 60 if that is all you need.
