Initial Regional FO Pay

Here's how i computed my "budget"
reserve = 75 hrs x $22.29/hr x.80 = pay + $200 perdiem (non taxed) that'll be on the low side probably, since you'll get more than 80 percent of your $$ @ 75 hrs guarantee (least i do)
Line = 84 hrs x $22.29/.hr x.80 = pay + $300 perdiem (non taxed) Which turns out to be pretty close to correct plus or minus a couple bux.
This will fluctuate (typically not "below" these numbers though) perdiem on reserve can't be "guaranteed" and will fluctuate depending on how often you're gone...for a couple months i had 11 days off, was being flown to RIC to sit hotel reserve @ 5 hrs towards guarantee/day and perdiem the whole time (made pretty good cash) also had a month or so of home reserve, didn't see any more than guarantee...
typically i'm seeing about $2,000 month at this craphole of a company. so for example...
95 hrs credit x 22.29/hr = 2117.55 x .8 = 1694.0 + 300 =$1994.0
Best of luck, congrats on the hiring, now get ur butt through training.

I grossed $25k in my first year at AWAC, bringing home maybe $1500 monthly (w/ per-diem) as a bottom-feeding lineholder.
On 2nd year pay I've been seeing no less than $2400 monthly bring-home (w/ per-diem) with some months much higher. That is after all deductions including a 10% 401k contribution.
Not getting rich, and definitely underpaid...but I'm not going broke by any stretch of the imagination either.

Ok Try this out...using their method but XJT 2nd Yr FO
95 hrs credit x 33.62/hr =3194 x .8 = 2555 + 500 = 3055

Question is, who the heck wants to fly 95 hours a month? Even if you get a credit for 120 hours, 95 hours each month will burn you out after a short time. That doesnt leave much time for having a life or family.

Since pilots may work a 4 day trip with a total of 87 hours away from home and 55 hours of duty time but only 18 hours of actual pay the importance of a good contract and work rules becomes very clear. Soft time improves pay while work rules are meant to improve quality of life (non-financial).
Good Luck
