Default Just finished my CRJ course

Well today was my last FTD session for the CRJ course. It consisted of a ground lab and 5 FTD sim sessions.
I have to say that the experience was a lot of fun and i learned a lot throughout the course! After taking this i don't see how any other airlines training would be very difficult since i've basically done everything they teach you. Although i know if i were at an airline i'd still need more practice on a lot of things obviously, since we only practiced different scenarios once or twice.
Now i just need to start instructing and still decide if i even want to go to a regional or if i should go in the Navy...

Airline training wouldn't be very difficult huh? Just wait until you start your initial operating experience. Don't forget, line flying is a completely different animal than the training department.

You only get once or twice to practice when you're preparing for your checkride too. Fail that and you get to try and get a job with a 121 failure on your record. That CRJ course should really help when you get hired at a regional with the Embraer too.

Pretending is fun isn't it?

You must have a lot of money to waste. Why get a CRJ course when all you need is a pulse to get hired at regionals these days.

I was thinking the same thing. Wait til you get to your IOE and see if the real world is like the sim.

2 of the 3 that washed out of my class after failing their oral twice took a "Regional Jet Standards Course" or whatever they call them. Your attitude towards training is exactly what killed them. Rather than asking questions and listening they decided to chide those who got questions wrong and asked what many thought to be basic questions.

Just don't go in like a cocky know-it-all, just because you have "experience". People like that aren't appreciated by anyone, instructors and classmates alike.

Trust me i wouldn't go in there thinking i know it all... haha I know i'd still have to study my a$$ off.
I was just saying it's nice to know what to expect basically and that it should help me out.

I think Im gonna start a "airline course". For $5000, you get to sit at the YMCA with a buch of other guys simulating a crashpad. I'll call you early in the morning like scheduling, you have to find your own way to my house, fly microsoft. Then go to the gettho bar, find some women, just like most of the FA's they will be with, then back to the Y again.
