On the other hand, RAH is still growing. I heard last that once NW stands up Compass, they are going to sell it off to RAH to complete the codeshare lock. Fits the BB master plan.

i dont know about all that Jazz but I wouldnt doubt it, and as far as all the honesty and god fearing going on here at RAH, its definately smoke and mirrors! One of our pilots was threatened and chastized on the phone with the GD phrase from one of our excellent upper managers. Yeah they really live by those circle of stars here!

but on the other hand I really like it here, its a pretty good place to work, most people are happy and most of our problems are due to rapid growth, and if your going to have some problems. I guess those are the good kind to have! God Bless!

heard from BB himself that they were in the process of adding the rafts and whatnot required on the Republic (RP) airplanes so they could ignore the 50nm limit that us shuttle guys have to put up with

Damn, I heard the Carribbean with a FL base....of course it wouldn't be RAH unless some MCO rumor was running around.

The Compass rumor...well hey...that's how the 170 got here in the first place.

By the way, we're breaking the company off into it's own separate country and have made a pact with Cuba to be their national airline. That's the real reason we got Havana plates a couple months ago. Look for the memo Friday afternoon for a Havana base with displacements from every base except Indy.

I have witnessed firsthand the fervor of the MCO crowd. If RAH ever reopened a MCO base, they would have to lock the crew room to keep out the refugees from returning to the promised land. BB would be like Moses parting the Red Sea, leading the people from the cursed land of Indy. Ah ha! So that's his master plan.......

Oh yeah, we are buying JetBlue too to fly their 190s.

Depends on what you want. Pilots will complain no matter where they go because with this large of crowd you will always have a few that got in for different reasons then realize they aren't too happy.

The two biggest drawbacks about RAH are A) You can't bid for any flights while on reserve even though the contract states it. The company interprets it another way. B) The best reason to pick a company, domicile IMHO, might make RAH an issue as they are famous for picking up and moving a base in no time. C) Joe Cespedes<--wanting to move higher up and doing all he can to get there it seems.

The good things are our CEO who actually cares, a close pilot group that communicates well, good work rules, expansion, good future outlook.

As with all companies they have their pros and cons. As far as regionals go currently you can't go wrong with either. The rumors about Xjet's future has some worried however I would have picked them over RAH since I'm from Tx.

I've talked to more than a few people who believe that BB isn't the saint he tries to portray.. he just has Wayne H. to do all his dirty work for him.

The running theory is that they play good cop/bad cop. They are both the same. Moral of the story, management's job is to make money for the shareholders, not the labor. Don't forget that and their decisions will make a lot more sense.

I've flown with a few CA's that know him personally and talk with him from time to time. They say with everything going on, picking up two new contracts and expanding the fleet and getting the bases setup, that he's been out of the loop and that's why he did his little tour of the bases to get in touch. Don't get me wrong he's a business man of course but these guys have said when crew scheduling did something completely wrong they've emailed him and he's taken care of it more than once.
