Maybe you should do the same thing. Give people a reason to respect you and they might do it...

Commuting from anywhere on any airline has gotten to be extremely difficult due to no available seats, delays, gate agents who don't know how to process jumpseaters, etc. If there's any advice I can give in choosing an airline is to try to live where you work, especially when you're junior. Makes life much easier.

I realize that, especially being from Iowa....however i will have a crash pad and just drive the 4 hours from home to the pad. Obviously that is IF i get on somewhere with ORD as a base. Besides, no offense to the ORD guys, i just cant live in that area again. I need corn fields and no toll roads. I lived in the area for a few years and it was tough. Ill make due, just sucks im passing up something like ASA but its just for my QOL and living by my family and friends. Ive moved many times before so dont think i havent paid my dues or dont know how this industry works cause im living it right now with where im at.
Does anyone on this board commute from IA? If so send me a pm.
