Good point on the Check Airman idea-never thought of it. It's not that i am looking to get some good regional job, which I know takes at least 1,200-1,500 hours to get the job. it's just that if you don't become a cfi it is very hard to find anyone to hire you so i am constantly on the lookout for job opportunities and flying with everyone I know to build up my time. Do you know which cfi ratings you need to be qualified to become a check airman?

The cfi, cfii and mei you get in light twins and cessnas will qualifiy you. then you'd take the company steps. so even if you don't use these ratings now. it could pay off having them in the long run. these rating may be more affordable then you think.

Hey Nick,
No offense but with 150 hours, I had already been flying for most of my life (20 years with friends and family), I thought that I could walk on water; and when I had 1000 hours and looked back and realized how inexperienced I actually was. I know that you are in a hurry to get to a good job, but fly some airplanes and slow down and enjoy the view from FL410. or FL180 whatever the case may be
