Wait a minute....the company should use in house instructors for everything? In almost any business situation, when something is contracted out for competitors to bid on, it is done more effectively, efficiently and cost productive than the company to do it themselves through natural competition/bids for the job.
I've seen Pinnacle try to do EVERYTHING themselves and it was a complete cluster-fu#k. Tons of wasted class time, NO systems info effectively taught, terrible company indoc and way non-standard sim sessions. I will guarantee that flight safety would not be in business if classes were taught this way. Maybe RH will be getting rid of the CRJs if that was the only class having 'problems'...

I guess it all depends, at XJT we have all in-house and so far we have a relatively high succes rate. When you are teaching your own, I feel you try a little harder, think back when you took someone elses student for just one lesson did you put as much effort in as if it was one of your own????? I wish I could say I did, but in reality I may not have given the guy my best effort because he really wasnt my responsability............

Shack - I'm on the 145, not the 170. I guess it may be different.
I don't know about that one. I know some of your coworkers who were not impressed at all with the way they were trained at XJT. While I'm sure we have the same here...based solely on some people descriptions....it sounded like the FSI guys were a lot more helpful than what I HEARD about at XJT.
