Essentially it was no question on the 135 legs, on the 91 legs it was a grey area but they said I should probably default to SIC.
Yeah and now I have to go back and figure out my entire log book since 135 logging doesn't translate to 121 hiring. I have plenty of hours, that's not a problem, but I need to keep two sets of logs for my flights now grrrrr. Would have been nice if AirlineApps still had that notation on their page which would have helped prevent this.

You could keep two sets of logbooks, but that woiuld be idiotic. Your logbooks are a legal document. Treat them accordingly. Maintain a single set of logbooks and maintain them correctly, neatly, and in good order. You'll be judged by them.
There's nothing grey about the regulation, nor is there anything grey about industry standards.
To "prevent this," all you need to do is listen.

Might I suggest, if you haven't already, to go digital on the logbooks? You don't even have to pay for it. A detailed Excel with columns for the various types of time and rows for the flights works well, and you can create a summary page for all the various categories and basically slice and dice the data any way you need to in order to show what an employer is looking for. This was very helpful when I was categorizing my times. It also allowed me to quickly fix some things that were incorrectly counted, though didn't have an effect on the categories with minimum requirements.
