Had they said no, there would have been no PSA today... It's easy to shut down a regional airline... We saw it with Comair and recently ExpressJet... It sucks for the Eagle guys too, they were bitter towards PSA guys for a long time about it, but I would bet Eagle would vote the say way had they were in

Its hard to maintain leverage in a industry where metal can easily get shifted around. Hence why the saying of "get to a job quickly where the paycheck matches the paint on the side of the aircraft".
naw, If their MEC hadn't been offered flow to AA within the year they wouldn't have pushed so hard selling a crap sandwich. Every regional union was told by their management that they'd shrink out of existence and lose the flying to somebody else.... except for almost 2.5 years no regional pilot union accepted concessions. Republic and Eagle voted no three times each. Expressjet voted no a couple of times, Silver voted no, TSA voted no, even Mesa voted no. After 2.5 years of every regional pilot union voting no, one MEC being promised no interview flow within the year took the concessions and proved that no matter how much you fight, they will eventually get their way. When the flying can be taken away and given elsewhere, you have no real power as separate MEC's.
