ok guys, lets not start the pinnacle mesaba war, its not worth it, we need to be on the same team, especially with us giving mesaba 15 of our jets. We both need to turn our negative vibes into something positive, so lets both bash Compass together!

Higney, What are you bidding in base? I think you are giving a lot of people a false impression, but hey you may get 500 bucks out of the deal. Just seems short sighted to me. When you do turn 23 and you are an RJ captain, your going to have to be flying with inexperienced pilots because your company cannot compete with work rules and $$ to get pilots, they have to resort to lowering the hiring standards to get "qualified" people.
ok, for window seat. i am not trying to recruit people to come here. if you read any of my previous post you will see that i don't care. i tell you how it is here and nothing else. what i like, and what i dislike. i came to pinnacle with 1200 hours and about 180 multi. the majority of the pilots being hired here are not jet u guys and most have the 1000/100. i was paired with a checkairman last month and got bought out for almost the entire month so he could do oe. he didn't have one guy with under 1000 hrs. he even had one guy from us air that had 3500 hrs (i think the guy is in upgrade right now). every one knows that our work rules and pay suck. nothing new there. i have never tried to hide it. but i can say this. this pilot group didn't bend over like most pilot groups so they could get their new flying or 900's. even skywest has crappy pay for their 900's and took it so they could get them. everytime management comes around and tells us we need to sign a crappy contract or we will go out of business we tell them "shut the doors then". everyone here wants change. its a good strong pilot group that keeps us going, and its a good strong pilot group that will get us what we want.

having said all that i will repeat once again what i said before. do i like it here? yes. Why? because i live in mem, based in mem. all of my trips this month start at around 1200 on day one and end the next day around 8 in the morn. i will only be gone 9 nights this month. i will block 94 hours of flight. i have 12 days off. things are good. could they be better, sure. thats why i pay my union dues so i can vote on the next contract.

And by the way your company did hire someone below 250, cause I know who he is, and yes he did pass training, and no you are not a 200 FO just yet, enjoy your jet.
not true. just had a mesaba guy jumpseat on us a week or so ago from phl and said that he knew a guy that was hired who just got his commercial multi certificate. your published mins are 600/50. so of course they will go lower than that. just like pncl is 1000/200.. and yes we have a couple of allstars here at pinnacle with less than 250. thats just the way it is now. i will say that i have never met any of them but i have heard they exist.
