Anyone doing IOE at the middle/end of july? I'm giong on a trip with a check airman and it would be nice if I didn't have to go. No its not that bad, I'm just lazy.

I understand that the EMB-120 doesn't have an FMS. Correct? I'm just curious what the autopilot is like. I'm guessing it's pretty basic but still better than the B1900 Any info would quench my curiousity. I start class soon and I don't know much about the aircraft other than the pre-class study guide.

Really, I was informed incorrectly. Thanks for the correction.

Then anyone know why there is an FMS test during ground school for the CRJ but none for the Bro?

This is false information. The hiring minimums are still at 1000 total, 100 multi and 100 instrument. I'm not sure who the "she" is that is being referred to but it's not Camielle Ence. Just wanted to set the record straight.

I asked a check airman today...he knows of no plans to hire less than 1000 hours. Anything's possible, but this looks like another internet rumor.

The Brazilia's FMS isn't as tightly integrated as the RJ's.
IF the FMS breaks on the Brazilia, we defer it. On the RJ it's more button no-pushy, airplane no-worky....but I'm biased.

Hmmm. Last time I checked you can defer the FMS and fly green needles...kind of a nuisance but it can be done.

Correction..... FMS yes on the BRO and NO to the ACARS. Just got done adjusting the rudder trim all day today! The Bro is a good girl to fly and am loving it so far! For all you new hires out there plan on half of the class going to Fresno as it seems to still be mostly JR. Possible to get SFO or LAX as well but its all reserve only. I only had to sit on reserve two weeks before I got a line in FAT. Welcome aboard to all newbe's in the EMB and glad to have you sitting behind me. As to Seatownflyer's post above about being lazy, I can vouch for that, as he was my sim partner! Whats up there James! Give me a call sometime, I will be in FAT all week!
