i dont think either side should be praying on those new hires in class while they should be focusing on passing the tests and their pc its not fair to them, they dont know colgan and they dont know whats best for the company since they havnt been here all that long ya know

I completed training about a month ago and we were propagated by both sides of the spectrum. I felt pressured during training and yes, felt it was wrong that we were being swayed to vote even though we had no idea what life was like on the line, it was encroachment. Since being on the line, I have been "colganized", having to work odd shifts and getting stuck in bases where i did not want to be, sleeping on couches and eating snack mix for dinner. Even though these aren't ideal conditions and trying to get a flight home is like pulling teeth, I still feel that the pressure that was received to sign a piece of paper for a petition was wrong. Until I feel that my job is in severe jeopardy and that I am being completely f'd with even after voicing to the company with no recognition, I do not need any more money taken out of my paycheck than needed. The Commonfilth of Massachusetts and my daughter, not to mention Key Bank have me in thier clutches for the rest of my live long days. Thanks for listening.

The local ALPA union is only as good as it's members. If your union doesn't do a good job of protecting you it's your pilot groups' fault, not ALPA. They can only lead the horse to water, they cannot make you drink.

1.95% of all the Colgan pilot's paychecks wouldn't even come close to offsetting the cost that ALPA would bear to bring your pilot group into the union. Groups like UAL, DAL, NWA, and CAL all supplement us small fries. For $30-$60/month ALPA is the best career insurance we can get, hands down.

If Colgan doesn't go ALPA I honestly hope the Pinnacle pilots staple them. Colgan is growing at the expense of the Pinnacle pilots completing their contract.

dont support alpa till its too late and then wonder why you cant passride anywhere and your pay is way below par... just look at the proposed pay for the Q400... colgan should be ashamed at that low wage. it is even below gojets pay for a larger a/c. if there is a company that needs a union... any union it is colgan. Be real proud of your new airplanes but how about some respect for your profession. and "i went there for the upgrade" wont cut it either because there are much better companies with similar upgrades. fight for your profession and you will make out in the end.
