Commuting from Toronto
Hello everyone, I am a Canadian living and flying in the US and I am looking into signing on with a regional. I have goals of moving back to Toronto and living there full time (with having a rented place at base) and am wondering if anyone knows if there is different rules with commuting internationally, such as would I have to pay anything on the commute to work? I think if I could be based in Detroit with sky west or Chicago with another regional I could make it work. Just looking for input to see if I could find a commutable route as I am struggling to do so right now. As far as I know I could jump on with any regional flight out of Toronto operated by an American carrier? First post on here so thank you for the replies!

If you are at an AA WO, you can ride on the actual jumpseat of your own metal, another AA WO, or mainline. You can’t ride an offline jumpseat. Some airlines allow actual jumpseat on own metal, and some do not on international flights. Keep this in mind. Air Canada and Westjet are also options, but you’ll need a seat in the back and pay the taxes.
