There are many nice suberbs of Detroit. Some of them are pretty pricey from what I have heard, though. Places like Novi, Farmington Hills, etc. are all very nice.
BTW, muppets, what were your times when hired?

Hey I just visited up there last week - I assume if you are like me you need a place on a budget - they have small I guess towns that just run into each other up there - one is called Wayne which is like 7 min. from DTW.
Foreclosures are happening so much up there now you could either buy - or rent a place - Wayne is a older place autoworkers lived - mostly 2 bdrm 1 ba have basements - sell for 100K - 150K (when not in foreclosure) pretty safe really - I would live there.
If you want to drive and check out young ladies - live in Ann Arbor - I bet hanging in the bar and doing - oh I am a pilot thing might work there

I interviewed last week.....Thanks for the good gouges on this page.
Interview went pretty good. I thought the HR was awesome (with a captain and HR person). My Tech was ok i guess but it should have went much better. Durring HR i was really relaxed, however once the capatin (really cool guy) started with some Tech questions i just fell apart. They where easy question that i should have had no problems with.
-Brief an ILS approach.
-Explain the Autofeather system on the aircraft i fly now
-Below mins and shooting the approach
The sim.....omg, not much to do in order to prepare for that thing. WOW....i do suggest that whoever interviews next go fly a sim at the local FBO or at least play flight sim. I messed up pretty good but i think i passed.
Tests....not much you can do about the IQ test deal or whatever its called. The 25 Question instrument test wasnt a problem at all. I know i did get one question wrong but thats because i was being an idiot. I think i got all the rest correct though. Know basic instrument procedures, jepp charts and you will not have a problem.
GREAT experiance and it was fun...except missing 5 flights to get back home then loosing/someone stealing my logbook, passport, FCC license, diploma and brief case at DTW. Im in the process of getting new documents. Good luck to everyone else thats up next.
I was at 640tt 240 multi currently flying 121 on-demand frieght in a twin turbo prop.

What do you want to know xj?
About the documents? Long story and it sucks. However im working it out pretty well.....very expensive to replace everything that is gone. I missed 5 flights because i had to sit standbye. No big deal, ive had to do it my whole life.

Congrats, I'll see you on the 5th! I'm in the Saab, maybe you'll get the shiny one. The Nov 5th class is either the Saab or the -900.

The latest is that they will get 17 total, they currently have 2, one flying and one was on loan to Compass, all will be based in MSP. The 15 additional are all from the Pinnacle certificate but are all not flying, parked in the desert due to staffing or something, etc. That's what we were told during the interview presentation, take it for what its worth.
For those that know, please correct me if I'm wrong.
