Anyone else interviewing on the 3rd?

He saying that because Mesaba is in a tremendous growth period so if you are thinking of a lateral move from another regional, now is a great time to come on board. Upgrade times are coming down fast (down from three years to possibly months for those with the hours) and Mesaba will be adding lots of new aircraft and new routes. Flowthrough with MWA is being finalized and Mesaba has a great training department that has years of experience training pilots. You will also get to fly senior CAs who has years of experience. Also, Mesaba is run like a major airline and has a commuter friendly lines and policies.

Unfortunately pilots are forbidden from putting their rollaboards in the overhead bins in the SAAB. Any of the normal ones fit just fine, but they have to go in the cargo bin. Get a very very tough one, as it will see a lifetime of abuse just over your first IOE trip.

Do yourself a favor, get a Purdy Neat. They put in C2 while all the cargo goes in C1. They also (at least my experience) don't drop kick the backs like you always hear. I suppose if you're and A$$ they would but I try to be cordial with the rampers.

Agreed. I used to be a ramper for a different airline...and some pilots wouldnt even give you the time of day. Then again I bet that works both ways at times.
