Thanx RJ85FO...I was just curious...not that Im that anal about my logbook. But I've seen it as CL-65 and CL-600 2D24 and wondered why it had two designations, thats all. But once again, thanx for your wisdom!

I personally, as well as others, have always defaulted to the ICAO "Type Designator." In that case, Mesaba has SF34, CRJ2 and CRJ9 types.
You can look them up for the vast majority of aircraft at: www.icao.int
The FAA version can be found in Order 7110.65 Appendix A.

Regards,
RJ85FO...purveyor of "anal" knowledge!!

Hey I asked part of this before, but I was wondering what the time off/time on was like at Mesaba. How many days on vs. how many off?

So, on reserve, plan on something like: 3 on, 2 off, 4 on, 2 off, 5 on, 2 off, 3 on, 3 off, 4 on, 2 off, 1 on.
As a senior line holder, you could have: 1 off, 3 on, 3 off, 3 on, 4 off, 3 on, 6 off, 3 on, 3 off, 2 on.
Or...anything in between so long as it is legal time and rest wise. Seniority is everything when it comes to schedule. It is easy for a senior pilot to bid a line with a stretch of 5-6 off at the end of the month. Then, the following month, bid a line with 4-6 off at the beginning, and PRESTO, instant 9-12 day "vacation."

Look bad a few posts and you will see the trip statistics for 2-day, 3-day and 4-day trips. Minimum days off are 11. In October in MSP, a senior line will get you 17 or 18 days off.

push the head, pull the tail. The whole thing is on a HSI...it's alot easier than doing NDB approaches in a C-152. I worried to much about NDB stuff myself, it was easy and I hadn't done one in probably over a year.
Edit: this is in the sim training, not the interview.

I saw your car was in the parking lot at the Towne Place when I got back from STL this past weekend. But, a day or so later it was gone. Are you back home? What's the good word on IOE?

I'm back home now hoping the phone doesn't ring. They said they'd give me 48 hours to be in the IOE base after the phone call. It's been a week since LOFT so far and no call. If your curious the person in scheduling that is in charge of IOE stuff is Maria, she isn't there until after 2pm. I can't say I learned a whole lot by calling though, when I pressed for a rough estimate she said "a half a week to three weeks"... real specific!
