Sorry for my ignorance but I don't pay much attention to company issues at Mesaba since I don't work there however, I was wondering if you all are pulling the saabs within the next two years? Curious due to one of your eas bid statements.

Yes we have been told by the company president officially we will be at 26 Saabs by the end of 2010. We will have them all parked by spring 2012.

Once this happens and they start cutting the 200 fleet why even bother having an airline? If the synergies work for the big boys one has got to think that it works for the little players too.

You'd think... but then again we did operate a single CRJ-200 for over a year during the bankruptcy.

from what i've been told the leases remaining on the 200's we have are a long ways away and will probably make it through the cut, it would make sense to not get rid of them...but when was the last time anything made sense here...

Compass did it too for close to a year until the first jungle jet arrived.

I know, it was 601xj.... We kept 602xj. They were split up to keep the type alive on our cert and was used to keep the Compass (old Indy Air) cert alive until the 175's could be delivered.
