I wonder who's idea it was to go to the DOT and ask for subsidies. If it was Mesaba, then good job for fighting for the cities.
From the moment the merger was set in motion, DL has acted in such a way as to at least give the appearance of working with employees rather than against them. This too could be along those lines in a sort of "look, we tried" attempt before further reducing the Saab fleet and screwing more of us. Personally, I beleive there is some writing starting to be scribbled on the wall. I really hope Im wrong.

He called me as well, what a stand up guy! Always enjoyed flying with him. I'm glad someone atleast took the time to give us a better idea of what to expect. He said nothing's written in stone, but from the numbers he has seen that November is an accurate guess.

I think that if you are in the bottom 230 on the list I would make sure I have a backup plan going by now. The economy is not going to turn around for still some considerable time and even when it does its gonna be awhile before demand will increase to 2007 levels. No one really knows what will happen and when it will but one thing is for sure. XJ is overstaffed and overstaffed by 230 pilots. It does not save the company nor delta any money by keeping those 230 pilots on payroll if they will do nothing.

Oh well at least Mesaba is not such a bad place to wait for a recall. How many of these 230 had to give up their senioirty at their furlough airline?

I had to give mine up.

Oh yeah, Dale called and told me to expect sometime in October for the furlough. I'm around the bottom of the TBD part of the list.

You're about 3 months behind with this quote. I think this has been said about a billion times. Thanks for the reminder.
