They will also displace 65 to 75 junior Saab CAs to FO positions. This will also affect you if your seniority is below those being displaced.

Sorry to hear that. I think most people will be affected by this unless your DOH is Aug 2007 or earlier. Let's hope the furlough will be a short one ie like 1 year or less, which I think it will be for various reasons. If you don't mind relocating there are corporate, CFI and airline pilot jobs here in the US and overseas.

it took me 6 months to find a CFI gig. I know/have heard of countless issues with overseas contractors and their crap, and have had zero luck finding a corporate gig (close to 100 applied for). My advice to the soon to be furloughed Mesaba guys is to start looking NOW. (i'm furloughed from comair since 11/5/08).
I'm not the only one, almost everyone I know that got furloughed with me from Comair has had a tough time finding stuff.
Good luck guys, from someone floating in your pool, this was news i definitely didn't want to hear.
