I just got the call from Mesaba yesterday for an interview. I really wanted this and felt really bad that i had to postpone the interview until October. I have to go work in florida for a month and cant get out of it. The lady on the phone said that she doesnt have a schedule made up for October interviews so she will have to call me back with one in a month. Im curious if i screwed myself or does this happen often? I really want this and now concerned that she might not call back? Thanks

For someone who is currently at Mesaba and knows. Someone mentioned something in groundschool today that you need to log onto somewhere on mymesaba to get the ball rolling on your CASS. I figured it was just something automatic that the company did and we would just check up to see when we were in the system. Is this so, because I can't find anything on mymesaba which is where a few people mentioned it was.

CASS should take a couple of weeks to get put in the system but there's nothing that you have to do.

I had a experience like that just recently. I interviewed in May but had to push back class dates due to my current job. Everything worked out in the end but I nearly slipped through the cracks and did not get a class date. My advice would be to keep in touch with them every 2 weeks and try to schedule one as soon as possible. I would also imagine that Oct. interview dates would be scheduled by mid to late Sept.

I thought that too, but I started to wonder when the guys who started class weeks after me were in CASS and I wasn't. It had been 3 or more weeks since I started, so I logged on to mymesaba, entered my passport info, and the next day I was in CASS.

You must update your PASSPORT/AIRMAN CERTIFICATE INFO information on MyMesaba to activate the CASS approval. You can find the link on the left column of the Flight Ops homepage.

Send HR a quick e-mail summing up your phone conversation. Then, if you don't hear back when you commitment is over, you follow-up yourself. Take the initiative when you are able to interview and call us back. (Just in case your name slips through the cracks on our end).

With the CASS issue... if your passport info is in Mymesaba like mine was you will be cass approved without doing anything after the first week...

Just finished my PC a few days ago and currently at the Homestead trying to burn time until FMS training on Sunday... (The ol' Homestead is not all that bad, just not close to anything and kinda sucks if you dont have your car with you. I was trying to save money and left it in Texas, but at times wish I had it here)

My advice is to study with a small group, everyone that did that did well on all of the tests, and when it comes time to your sims get with your training partner and go over all the calls and profiles with your jepp plates out.
