There are NO new crj 900's to be had, they are already over the limit by several. DALPA agreed to overlook the extra ones for a no furlough clause. The additional 20 that were on order are pinnacles 900's and the rest of the 10 that were going to us, and now to ASA.

Okay, so what about switching 200s with 900s? If they are "over the limit" on 76 seaters, this WILL be a long road for DCI carriers because 200s are more than 60% of the fleet.

Don't take what I am saying and turn it around. I believe that any aircraft greater than a 76 seat jet should be in the majors. I just believe that the 200s won't be around much longer due to rapidly rising fuel prices (70% in 6 months). This will continue to happen, especially if our government doesn't do anything about it.

My source says this is a separate new order that just went in. Besides, DAL did not buy CRJ900 for Pinnacle. Pinnacle bought their own 9 CRJ900, not 10. Don't know if the total is over the limit or not, I am getting conflicting stories. Like I said earlier, take it with a grain of salt because the story is not confirmed.

Could it be an order to replace old worn out 700s?

I would tend to think that the 200's are more worn out than any 700's. ASA was the first DCI carrier to fly the 700 and I believe their oldest airframe is not even 10 years old yet.

Let's just say that DAL does in fact have 20 RJs on order and that at least half of those are ours. For our own sanity. ha ha. Maybe Delta is planning on reducing the Saab fleet but growing the 900 fleet.

I'm telling you that it is confirmed there are no new orders. If we get more 900's or anything else it will be from another DCI regional. On DAL's last 10-Q it said they had 4 on order and they were already assigned.

I'd guess it's part of the musical 15 that eventually ended up with the new factory ones going to ASA... so ASA.
