Mesaba new hires

Is there any award for 510 reply's and over 33,000 views? Pretty neat to see the interest in Mesaba hiring and the great group of people we have posting to it.

RJ85FO, I was thinking the same thing...this thread has been growing and growing, just like the pilot roster! Music to my ears, and yours Im sure!

Why thank you for the kind word RJ. Anxious to get up there and join you guys on the line. I'm pretty excited about getting a Saab slot. A buddy who interviewed w/ me got the -200. He can have it!

well i started this, and isnt it funny that now i must turn down the job. the years of being a frieght dog have paid off and something much much bigger came along and i took it. i think mesaba is a great place to start and the people are wonderful there, thanks for all the advice. fly high, fly safe and find the blue sky.

A week and a half into training, I can say that top to bottom Mesaba looks like a great company. By now I've spoken to a lot of my classmates who have come from other regionals and the culture and attitude at Mesaba seems great compared to where they came from. We have captains joining our class now, and they're all happy to be there, if not a little cynical - 7 years on the Saab will do that to a man!
To all the new hires, welcome, study hard, and enjoy the ride...

Yes i agree mesaba so far is a great place to work (beyond amazing pilot group) but like every regional they too have thier issues (CRJ200, etc.)

As a person caught dead center in the debacle going on in the 200 program I can say that moving from my former carrier to Mesaba was the best move I ever made. Could not be happier with the quality of instruction that we are getting and the positive attitude of the instructors. The delays are a minor inconvenience in comparison to the everyday occurrence of mismanagement on every level elsewhere. Things seem to be getting back on track. What can be expected of a surprise 17 airplanes while you are focused on the delivery of 36 900s? It takes a lot to put this kind of thing together...

On that topic... any of the first class of 200 FOs through yet? Any gouge on the oral and checkride?
