These were FOs who elected to switch seats to come to CRJ9 as FOs and they were supposed to be seat locked for 2 years. They only sat for one year and were released from their seat locks.

I think that had something to do with people getting recalled after furlough and an agreement ALPA made with management for those people. For all the other FOs that switched from the saab to the crj900, they have a 2 year seat lock for both equipment and seat which does not start until 8 weeks after the class start date, so 26 months in all. I have heard many think that they will release that lock but I highly doubt that as there is not a shortage of people to upgrade. Unless they were 2 years away from being able to upgrade, I just cannot justify that move. But I guess whatever floats your boat.

As for all the questions about "how fast can I upgrade" the most junior guy to get upgraded on the last award has been here almost a year and a half. DISCLAIMER: Results not typical, your results may vary. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA.
Ah, perfect! ...even has a forum. I'll check that out, thanks a lot.

The LOA as quoted in the award was settled and basically released those FO's from there seat locks because someone was released improperly and these guys where released to settle this grievance or that was the jist of it. To qualify this is hearsay read the LOA to get the facts when available.

Is XJ still hiring? I'm furloughed and itching to get into an airplane again.

Yep

Put your App/Resume in and see what happens, we have a lot of them so it may take a bit for them to get back to you. Good luck!

How long does it take to get a response? I applied a few days ago. I also applied about a year ago and it took a month or two to get a "no thank you" letter. Do they still do that?

Lately its been taking a while due to the flood of applicants, I would say at least a couple weeks. Just hope for the call for an interview and not the "thanks no thanks" email. I'd say after 2-3 weeks call them just to make sure they got it.
