Captains are locked for 2 years from switching into another Captains seat no matter what.
Company can relax seatlocks at their discrection as they did last summer for SAAB FO's moving to CRJ900 FO's and SAAB Capt into 900 Capt.
I suspect unless something really breaks loose after the merger, I suspect the seatlock won't be much of an issue.
I think there is a lock before the you flow up to NWA/Delta but I am not sure what that is.
Bye

And to add if you would switch FOs seats after the initial 2 FO to FO seat lock you would get another 2 year seat and that one is for everything IE no upgrade either for 2 years.

That being the case, then how come those 3 FOs who switched seats to CRJ9 were released from seat locks and were awarded CRJ9 CA seats on the previous vacancy award? (Not the last one but one before the last one). Next to their names it said per ALPA and Company agreement of some sort, I can't recall the exact words used there. These were FOs who elected to switch seats to come to CRJ9 as FOs and they were supposed to be seat locked for 2 years. They only sat for one year and were released from their seat locks.

Try city-data.com for general info. DTW is cheaper, MEM is warmer. The flying seems to be better out of DTW though, and I'll let someone else tell you about the "fishbowl" in MEM...
As for all the questions about "how fast can I upgrade" the most junior guy to get upgraded on the last award has been here almost a year and a half. DISCLAIMER: Results not typical, your results may vary. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA.

IF/When Atl is added to our Bid pref's, I will put that as my first choice for CA, most the FL guys would love to have it over any of the others.
