I can understand that many pilots would want to get hired at the airlines but this is no attitude to have. The days of walking into an FO position on a CRJ900 with 260 hrs are done. It can be difficult building flight time but that's what has to be done and it is hard work. I want an airline job too but I only have 580/75, so I'm going to have to instruct to build hours. It's just the way it is. I'm not trying to knock anyone here but it's getting frustrating to see this attitude of "I don't want to work to get an airline job."

It doesn't matter what school you went to, unless it's Riddle. Then you're just gonna get crap every day till you learn to lie where you came from !

Just wait until you get to the airlines.....you will not want to work and you will most likely not do anything you are not required to do.....just the way things work especially as an fo

what the heck does that mean?

Sounds like he should have gone somewhere else. It's too bad we hired some tools with attitudes like that.

They can change it for a stretch but for the whole month I would say not. If it is for more than your current stretch I would call the scheduling person on the union or your Union rep and they should be able to point you in the right direction.

Report back if you get an answer.

The short answer is yes they can do that and yes it sucks. There is no specific limit... just based on seniority. Please reference the contract section 25.E.4 for more details.

RR credits min day (four hours, unless of course you fly more than that) plus at least 8 hours of per diem. You can volunteer for RR by calling scheduling at least a day in advance. Volunteering for AMRR is sometimes a good technique for commuters, but keep in mind they can assign you flights that arrive later than your original 8 hr duty period.
