I was told to get more experiance and re-apply so I just moved on and went to PSA. I have been online for a couple of months and got the axe. My times are 1100/150 or so. Thanks!
Mesaba has stopped the hiring process right now. They have filled classes through August and everyone else is in a hiring pool. Not sure when interviews will start back up. Just my two cents, get a flying job ANYWHERE and when Mesaba opens up to interviewing again, take a shot.

Default Per Diem

Thanks!

Per Diem is paid completely on the second check. No matter how many hours you fly the first check pays 34.5 hours. The second check pays remainder of guarantee plus any over 75 plus per diem.

bye

I know someone that interviewed last tuesday... from what I'm told we're still interviewing a limited number of candidates once a month.

We have NOT stopped hiring. If you don't know for sure... don't post! Because of our pool, which is quite deep, we're only interviewing once a month for now. THe June interviews already happend and there will be a day in July as well.

Growth is slowing, therefore hiring is slowing. Because of this the bottom of our seniority list might be a precarious place to be. However because hiring is SLOWING and demand is still high, your qualifications will probably set you apart from the pack. I suggest applying, especially since you've got nothing to lose.

Best of luck.

1) You aren't the only one on this board who is 41 or older (Mr. Superior).

2) You do work at a regional, stop kidding yourself.

Along those lines, I fly with plenty of 41 year old guys that have a whopping 1000 total time....start as a second career, so age doesnt mean a whole lot in regards to experience...

Default Per diem check dates

Check the News for Crews on the website or bid pack. It lists all the dates for paycheck and on which days per diem and over 75 are paid.

I stand corrected. The reason I had thought that is because I had two buddies that were suppose to interview this week actually and they had told them they cancelled it.

There were multiple interview dates in June from what I understand and then they canceled all but one of them.
