Are you the same guy we saw on YouTube last month--the apprentice giving a "class" about how to interview, get job, etc..without actually having any experience in those subjects?

Here's a recap: He had no idea what he was talking about, and he embarrassed the hell out of himself. Don't be that guy.

Oh, no, don't worry yourself. I occupy the seat at the pointed end, just like you, and at 41, I think I may have been doing a bit longer than most of the people on the "regional" board. I'm just not at a regional.

Eagle isn't a regional? and don't sugar coat it and say Eagle is a national

If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck and tastes like a duck, it's probably a duck. If it earns a high income (Donald Duck ?) you may call it caviar if you want; it's still a duck.

If AE flies regional aircraft over regional routes in support of a Legacy, it may be called a Major because of its earning levels. Operationally it's still a regional.

Are you an aspiring pilot at AE ?

...
My read on the industry is that this is the tip of the iceberg. Delta owns Comair, NW owns their regional, USair own two small regionals... AMR owns Eagle... then there are the Republics, TSA, Mesa's and such who will fly in anybody's colors

Dude to work for Eagle and say you don't work for a regional is about as absurd as the U-Haul driver saying he should make as much as a UPS 747 CA because they both drive for a trucking company, then giving the CA's son advice on which flight school to attend.

And NW has REGIONALS, not just one. And the largest is not owned by NW, it is a public company. It was wholly owned about 4-5 years ago tho. Sold off to fund NW's pension plan.

Please get facts straight before giving advice, and at least verify your sources....the CA you flew with last week that says, "all NW regionals are owned by NWA," or "it never snows in Florida because I have an aunt that lived there for a month" is not a very good source usually...

If people wouldn't accept these crap jobs, they'd either go out of business or make the compensation and associated packages more worthwhile.

Excuse me sir, to be perfectly petty, I hope for your sake that you passed freshman English class. It is not "in stead" but merely one word. Dumb post, but this guy is an idiot! and yes, I did indeed spell idiot correctly.

I will keep it on track...Where are you guys at right now with hiring? I just got Furloughed from PSA and would like to get on with Mesaba. They were my number one choice before I went to PSA. I live in the Detroit area so it would work out great for me. I intereviewed with them 8 or so months ago and didn't get the offer. I was told to get more experiance and re-apply so I just moved on and went to PSA. I have been online for a couple of months and got the axe. My times are 1100/150 or so. Thanks!

Hey guys, I'm a little confused on how the company pays out our per diem. Do they pay it all out on the last paycheck of the month, or is it up to 75 hours on the first check and the rest on the second paycheck?

Thanks!
