Mesaba new hires

No telephone informants, no inside knowledge, no investment based wishes - what if ?
Mesaba gets Pinnacle CRJ900 airplanes, gradually gets rid of CRJ200s, then begins to acquire 900s and CRJ1000s (15+15 ordered by unknown buyer) eventually becoming an all CRJ900/1000 Regional ?
Colgan gets Mesaba Saabs and becomes an all turboprop regional ?

The CRJ1000 currently has scope issues with NWA (and I hope it stays that way). So unless that changes, no 1000's for any redtail regional.
I could see the 200's getting replaces by Q400's very easily though. That would make sense right now, but may not make sense after the crap hits the fan this fall.

Q400's? Really? Why not just take the options on the other -900's and get rid of the -200's all together. I don't see the mothership buying 17 or 20 Q400 this late in the merger game. If I remember correctly, I think I heard a runmor about Q400's this time last year.

"On 5 October 2006, Bombardier Aerospace announced that US carrier Northwest Airlines had placed an order for 36 CRJ900 jetliners and took options on an additional 96.
The CRJ1000, formerly known as the CRJ900X, is a modified version of the CRJ900 developed to meet the needs of regional airliners for jets of up to 100 seats. The main goals of Bombardier Aerospace for the CRJ1000 program are extremely low operating costs and the improvements to cabin comfort. . . . . . with 38 firm order aircraft . . . and an undisclosed customer (15+15). . . . ."
Who is the undisclosed customer ?
How many and what type of simulators are installed or being installed at the Mesaba (also Compass) training center ?
How many sim sessions per year can be scheduled ?
What are the annual training requirements with the current staffing level ?
Isn't the new CRJ900 sim also capable of CRJ1000 training ?
How much excess capacity is there ?
Who is going to use it ?
