How is it a paycut to the CRJ as an FO? I agree it would only make sense to go to the CRJ if it were to get you into a base you REALLY wanted, AND you don't plan on upgrading for a while anyway. I'm just curious on the paycut thing.

It's not really a pay cut it's just that the Saab lines have always credited more. More credit = more pay. That seems to be changing though....the Saab lines lately barely break mins.

900 FO Vacancy
Hey All,
I'm new to the forum. Hopefully you guys might have some suggestions for me. The recent vacancy 08-08, releases the freeze off of the Saab FO's so they could move to the 900. I'm a DTW based FO on the Saab, sitting in deep reserve. So I'm thinking about making this move for the MSP 900 FO position in the hopes of getting back to Detroit (hopefully before training ends).
I understand the seat lock would prevent me from upgrading for 24 months. My TT is around the low 600's, so upgrade would be a while anyway (depending upon flying potential).
I love flying the Saab, and don't mind sitting reserve at all...i'm just not flying much.
Any suggestions?

If your sitting deep reserve you will probably be to junior to get awarded it on this vacancy. I have a feeling there are quite a few more senior guys that are going to take it.
