Mesaba new hires

I second that, I bid in the 20's in msp. I am personally thinking about the move, but it has more to do with seven leg days, cold feet in the winter and swass in the summer, rhinelander, MCW FOD, Devils lake !?!. Plus I am not in a financial situation where I NEED to upgrade to captain to make ends meet, plus the inevitable reserve stint of at least five months. If you actually think about it and can afford it the switch might not be bad, go to class in may be done middle of June then get a six week paid vacation for the rest of the summer while waiting for IOE, almost sounds like a teaching job except they get paid more.

Is there a wait or does anyone know how long it would take to get back to Detroit in the 900?

See this is why I tell everyone I'm in the middle of the new people, I bid for everything and usually wind up with a lot less haha.

I like my cold feet in the UP at 6 am!
I cannot see a 24 month seat lock a good thing. What if we take on 10-20 more RJ's. That means people through the 700's on the seniority list would be upgrading. Why take your chance away?
all for the big shiny one

I would be skeptical to bid MSP 900 Fo in hopes to get back to DTW. It seems like MSP is having a tough time recruiting 900 FO's. I am sure by a few months you could hold DTW 900.

It's amazing how many people are starting to bash the Saab when they think they have a chance at the 900... for the record, I still love my Saab.

Are you saab guys wishing for the jet prepared for the pay cut? You make more overall when you fly the saab in case you didn't know. IMO it's only a good move if it gets you into the base of your choice and keeps you from commuting. Otherwise... stay put. The complaints of cold feet, long days and small towns will fall on deaf ears.
