So about a week ago I faxed in an open trip request and to no surprise got shot down, but was curious if anyone knew. I checked my schedule for the month in "view schedule" on crewweb and there was an * next to april the 17th. Not sure if thats anything significant but that was the date that scheduling told me the open time had already been taken... Thanks, and fly safe

The * means that crew scheduling has made a comment about your trade in a comments file. Basically the reason the trade was denied so that if you call scheduling they can review the comments on why it was denied.
Usually says "trip trade denied due to 30/7..or no longer open...or reserve requirements". Basically something that you don't like.

We are over staffed on purpose. They want to be overstaffed for both Saab and CRJ's because of the deliveries of the CRJ's. When deliveries end in December reserve staffing should be around 10% for each fleet and base
