Just wait till a 6 or 7 year guy see's that post, they have been on reserve for about five years and furloughed, not to mention taken a pay cut.

Agreed. Until that happens to me, I can't complain about the schedules. Many have had it a lot more rough than us.

Um, isn't this going to be your first or second month on the line? I'm not gonna deny that reserve sucks... but you're gonna be hard pressed to find any sympathy from other pilots.

So I'm sitting right in the middle of the DTW Saab FO list and have to ask, with so many guys and gals ahead and behind me, and with a new vacancy of 3 200 slots... Any thoughts or insights into the seeming overstaffing of the saab with what seems like little movement?

There's always room to complain about reserve schedules...

They released the seat locks to prevent a flip-flop of the seniority list. The Saab was beef up on staffing because guys were leaving it to go to the jet. Then FO's started upgrading to the jet, and that threw everything off.

Imagine instead of keeping it overstaffed and slowly drawing it down, they decided to displace saab FO's and CA's....Not pretty.

I'd rather not imagine that, and I don't think you would either...
Now you probably jinxed us all. I hope management doesn't get any ideas.
