Default DTW Crashpad

Anybody have any insight, opinions, suggestions, telephone numbers for a good (the best) DTW crashpad? Looking for May or June opening. Feel free to PM me. Thanks all!

I'd still rather be in our shoes than theirs. Best of luck to the good guys and gals at Comair.

Especially the ones waiting for XJ Street CA class dates for the SAAB...

Speaking of which, any word on that?

Does the 900 have essentially the same panels (overhead, center consol, etc) as the 200. Also, are the systems essentially the same as well?

A friend of mine bought me the AvSoft Guide and Software to match but its for the 200. I was curious if the info in this book is identical to the 900.

Keep in mind I am not planning on memorizing a bunch of questions (software) and don't plan on trying to memorize all the switches before I get to training. I was a preflight, and primary flight instructor for the Navy and totally understand the mentality of telling prospective students not to try to memorize and study early before arriving. But since I have this stuff, I do plan on becoming familiar with the diagrams of the systems if they apply to the 900.

I can elaborate more on the content of this stuff if someone wants me to, but will keep that to PM's.

Its generally the same but with some key improvements. I wouldn't bother reading the avsoft book. Stick with the company and bombardier publications.

Agreed. Don't bother studying anything else besides what they give you before training. You don't want to study the wrong the thing and then be confused when you get into systems or any class for that matter. Good Luck.

There has been no need for Street Captains for many months. We went through a period of need last fall and into winter due to a lot of pilots electing to wait to upgrade for a lot of reasons. Hiring has slowed, and absent any additional growth announcements, I do not anticipate that Mesaba will continue to hire Street CA's in 2008. Those FO's that were hired at the beginning of the wave (April 2007 and later) now all have 1 year of experience and should/could/will want to be able to fill any SF3 CA vacancies when they are available in the coming months.

This is not to say we definately won't hire any Street CA's in 2008, but I think the chances are slim and if we do, only a very few will be needed.
