Excellent, thank you so much for the info. I guess MEM just became my #1 base choice. Flying out on NWA for the interview worked out ok, but the plane was very full and I could see getting bumped easily doing that as a commute. Seat fully reclines on FedEx? Nice.

All three bases are available, but that means those already here will shuffle first... New hires will be getting whatever is left over.... IE don't count on MSP being available.

You should strongly consider MEM over MSP. There are a couple of reasons I think this. There are more options to MEM via FedEx than MSP on NWA. Even if there were equal flights, jumping on FedEx is a much nicer experience than slugging it out with the silver elites at NWA. At FedEx, you are assigned a seat (that fully reclines) that is yours, no space available like NWA. Also in MEM you will have better relative seniority than MSP which means you'll be able to hold a line sooner and have a better QOL in MEM. And you should be able to hold MEM in either aircraft right out of training. Here's a list of the daily flights on FedEx. Let me know if you need the 1-800 number to list yourself on FedEx.
Also, does anyone know between detroit or memphis which is faster to get off reserve?
Thanks guys!
