Hey does anybody know if they are planning on having CRJ-200's go to mem anytime soon? I noticed they are going to start sending them to dtw. Also does anybody know if we are on track to get 2 200's and 2 900's each month for the rest of the year until we get all 17 and 36?
Also talked to one of the DE for Mesaba in Denver during sims the other day...said that it's almost a given were going to get the 36 options increasing the fleet to 72...just have tophase the DC-9 out on time with 900's ariving

I'll tell you what I told the fella in Albany, NY. If you're around that time, get your resume together and send it in. It can't hurt. To prepare, I recommend that you study those Jepps, know your Part 91 instrument regulations, get instrument proficient (in an airplane), and practice those gouges.
All I could think about when the fella asked me what the hiring minimums were at Mesaba was that, "Wow, I was in the exact same position as this fella 2 years ago." I'm still pinching myself. I wish I had heeded the advice of my buddy (also at Mesaba) back in May. If I had put my resume in when he told me, I'd be about 300 peeps higher on the seniority list.

I applied through there website and emailed my resume... Got an automated response saying thanks for applying.
Then the next day "We are fortunate to have many qualified candidates apply to each of our positions. We have reviewed the qualifications of each candidate and after careful consideration, we have determined that the credentials of other candidates may better fit our needs at this time."
I don't want to hear people say anything about me demanding a job or anything remotely like that. I'm absolutely not. I'm just wondering if I should take a different course of action. [615tt/210me]

I sympathize with you man. I don't get it myself. I convinced one of the other pilots I flew with last summer to finally get his resume into Mesaba only after his interview at AE fell short. He put his resume in 3 months (Dec) after I did and he also got the same notification via email and he had 700TT and 75ME. To not even get an interview, well...it was troubling. He's a good pilot, I trained him. But, maybe timing has something to do with it. I'm very fortunate to be in the position I'm in.....just thankful that my other buddy convinced me to apply when I did....or, I might be sitting at home in your situation as well.
The only other advice I have it to really review your resume and see if it was lacking in anything. When my friend forwarded me his resume, I was kind of shocked that he failed to put things in it like:
1) Instrument Current
2) ATP written <insert score here>
3) FCC radio license
4) First Class Medical
5) U.S. Passport
APC has some great resume tips and I modeled my resume after the same model. I got a call 2 days to interview later.
Best of luck to you.
