It all make since, they didn't need as many cap's last month so why would they need more for the summer. You know it might be different this year, we might have a slow summer cause it been busy every summer since the begining of mesaba, so we're do for a slow summer.....some year......right?
Crew Planning has very little to do with it...staffing, routes etc is all dictated by NWA marketing. They give a forecast about the number of hours that need to be covered in each base. I used to work in that department and flight hours could change by 1000 hours a month...which could change staffing by 12-15 lines per month. They just try to keep it close because who knows what NWA what will do. Kind of like gambling....you usually you look like the a**

Just enjoy your time home. At least you are home doing nothing vs being stuck in detroit on reserve doing nothing (havent been called yet this month.)

Hey Rager, I was in the 12/3 class. I know two of our D3C's are done with OE and just waiting on their fed rides. Got my call today to start OE out of base on Wednesday the 12th. I'm a D3C also, doing the OE out of MSP FWIW.

So I heard we are losing the -200 HPN route to Pinnacle? Is that true, or are we trading routes?

March 10th, 100% completion factor. First time since I believe december that it has happened. It appears the Saabs have caught their second wind.

As more XJ -200s come on property you'll see them flying on a multitude of routes. For one schedule period we may go to HPN, and then next we may not. It all has to do with lines of flying associated to the a/c. Similarly you'll see the 900 going places one time and a mainline a/c doing it in the next schedule change and the same is true for Saab routes as well. In the summer INL is all 9E CRJ where as in the winter it is all XJ saab. This is how NWA leverages their capasity.
The bottom line is that these routes are NWA routes and they choose for whatever reasons they have, which carrier operates them on their behalf. It's nothing personal or that one pilot group is better than the other. So we're not losing HPN to Pinnacle... NWA just shifted the operator of their MSP-HPN-MSP route.
